The working methodology of Anhumas Corporativo is divided in three big groups: strategics, tactics and operationals. Below you can find the main services/activities of each group:

  • Development of loss scenarios for Property Damages including estimatives for Maximum Foreseeable Loss (MFL) and Maximum Expected Loss (MEL).
  • Elaboration and implementation of corporate policy of Risks and Insurances, unifying the insurance program, seeking for possible synergies between the various types of insurance and activities.
  • Assistance for elaboration and implementation of Risks Management Policies.
  • Elaboration, implementation and participation in the Risks Management Committee.
    • a) Technical visits followed by respective reports referring to the following points, besides the loss estimates mentioned above:
      • Operation and analysis and description of operations;
      • Technical analysis or opinion about the contracted covers;
      • Recommendations based on the national (NBR and IT) and international standards (NFPA and FM Global) and good practices in the insurance market.
    • b) Assistance to define to transfer and/or financing insurable risks, according to the Brazilian Legislation and with “appetite for risk retention” for each client;
    • c) Approval together with the client of the placement strategy and target price;
    • d) Definition of negotiation strategy and “road show” preparation, focused on National Market as well as identify the need to access International Market.
    • e)“Submission Report”;
    • f) Development of Benchmarking based on the numbers of companies in the same segment and size.
    • g) Monitoring the visits and inspections of Carriers and Reinsurers (when necessary).
  • h) Lectures
    • h.1) Lectures to be developed for all defined units and for necessary areas promoting conceptually the client’s exposures showing contracted policies’ goals. Target audience: Operations, Financial, Risks Managements, among others.
    • h.2) Lectures for discussion of measures and recommendations contained in our Loss Prevention reports.
    • h.3) The benefits of contracted insurances for sales versus others competitors.
      Target audience: Commercial.
    • h.4) Corporate Lectures about legal predictions versus contracted policies. Target audience: Legal and Risk Management.
  • i) Management Monthly Reports
    • Following report of action plans established between Clients and Anhumas.
    • Monthly loss reports with details of daily actions.
    • Monthly report of eventual changes in the policies.
    • Reports to follow recommendations status per unit.
    • Executive Summary of renewal.
  • a) Related services to the administration of contracted insurances policies, such as:
    • a.1) Final elaboration of policy wording including policy inssuance according to the “slips” of the Reinsurers and the final proposal of the Insurers.
    • a.2) Policy checking.
    • a.3) Technical and operational permanent monitoring for:
      • Verification and analysis of risks changes;
      • Inclusion of new risks;
      • Clarification of questions and doubts about the issued program;
      • Analysis and legal assistance of non-predictable situations at policies;
      • Necessary endorsements issuance and checking.
  • b) Claims assistance
    • b.1) Immediate pre-analysis of claim’s communications to check the severity of the occurrence, checking of the policy and definition of the best strategy moving forward.
    • b.2) Monitoring “in loco”, if necessary, our team for proper contributions or interventions.
    • b.3) Analysis, monitoring and legal advice when necessary.
    • b.4) Definition together with the Client of the negotiation strategy with Insurers, Clients of our Clients and their Insurers, as well as others parties involved.
    • b.5) Analysis and definition of loss amount and receipt of the respective compensation due.
    • b.6) Salvage and reimbursements control to confirm final payment amount.
    • b.7) Advice and legal monitoring of litigation, in case of the risk is covered by the policy, the progress check of actions and the right time for any possible agreements.
    • b.8) Participation or direct coordination in any strategy to define needs and action plans for crisis management.
  • c) Loss Prevention Reports with periodic visits by our Risks Engineering area, with the goal of:
    • c.1) Verification of non-conformities, that results in situations of risks or its aggravation, mostly, but not limited to, for the risks of:
      • Fire, Lightning, explosion;
      • Theft or robbery;
      • Electrical damage;
      • Windstorm / Smoke;
      • Machinery Breakdown;
      • Business Interruption including Customers and Suppliers extension;
      • Maintenance;
      • Transport and storage of goods;
      • Collision of stacking machine and/or other movable equipment;
      • Inappropriate Reception of goods;
      • Fire protection and property security systems;
      • Housekeeping;
      • Analysis of fire load versus protection systems;
      • Monitoring the recommendations;
      • Others necessary risks;
      • Recommendations according to national (NBR e IT) and internationals rules (FM Global, NFPA and AM Best).
    • c.2) Estimated losses

The team responsible to deliver services in Consulting Risk Management is our own Engineering Department. It is the internal structure of Anhumas Corporativo, both for the development of the work but also for developing methodologies, and being able to do Inspections services/ periodic visits by our Risk Engineering area, in order to:

This service is offered when the claim is not related to the brokerage, acting as independent consultants and it is engaged in the provision of technical advice in investigation processes of accidents regarding insurance coverage for Material Damages/Profit Losses and calculation of resulting damages.

The development of this Consultancy involves the following services:

  • Immediate pre-analysis of claim’s communications to check the severity of the occurrence, checking of the policy and definition of the best strategy moving forward.
  • Monitoring “in loco”, if necessary, our team for proper contributions or interventions.
  • Analysis, monitoring and legal advice when necessary.
  • Definition together with the Client of the negotiation strategy with Insurers, Clients of our Clients and their Insurers as well as others parties involved.
  • Analysis and definition of loss amount and receipt of the respective compensation due.
